| Janet is not your average senior. This widow stays active by raising her five great-grand kids on a fixed income. Before she retired, Janet worked two jobs; even then, it wasn’t enough. |
| "My money didn’t reach the end of the month. There were nights we went to bed hungry, and there wasn’t anything I could do about it," Janet explains. |
| Janet receives the food she needs to nourish herself and her family from a Second Harvest feeding partner. Each week she is able to take home pantry staples along with fresh fruits and vegetables.
