If you ask kids what they are planning at the end of the school year, you'll hear pool days, video games, theme parks, and, ultimately, the best summer ever. But for thousands of local kids and families, the end of the school year means the end of free and reduced breakfast and lunch.
These families make a different kind of summer plan, one that involves where their next meal will come from. Your generosity this summer will help kids receive healthy, nutritious meals all summer long. It will allow families to use their limited resources on other expenses, like rent, utilities and transportation.
More than 60% of Central Florida kids qualify for free or reduced lunch, only about 9% of those kids participate in a summer meal program. You can help change this.
Thank you for fighting hunger and feeding hope for kids this summer. When their bellies are full, kids can get back to the business of being kids and striving for the best summer ever.
