About Second Harvest

We’re a nonprofit organization fighting hunger and feeding hope across Brevard, Lake, Marion, Orange, Osceola, Seminole and Volusia counties. We work with more than 870 community partners to distribute nutritious food where it's needed most.

Food is sourced from grocery stores, retailers, distributors, farms, food drives and individual donations.

In addition to food distribution, we address root causes of hunger through programs like culinary job training, SNAP assistance, and nutrition education.

Second Harvest helps provide emergency food and supplies during hurricanes, floods and other crises — locally and as part of the Feeding America network.

We’re a proud member of Feeding America, the nation’s largest hunger-relief organization, made up of over 200 food banks across the country.

Hunger affects 1 in 7 people in our region — including children, seniors, veterans and working families. Learn more about hunger.
