Food for Today. Food for the Future.

This FY 2021/2022 plan is the second year of our long-range strategic vision out to 2030. The first year was taken by surprise by COVID. We revised our plan and continue to respond to COVID relief efforts.

This second year plan continues our efforts with a record-setting food distribution level while continuing to sustain the innovation we created in programs, operations and agency relations.

Key points of the plan:

• Budget: increase in revenue. 11 new positions.
• Food distribution: Volume for 85 million meals, or 102 million pounds.
• Re-branding: Completing a new Brand Strategy and preparation for launch
• Organizational structure: We will implement Phase 1 of the new design
• Programs: We will maintain the size and scope of our programs with three exceptions:
• School Markets: Expansion will only take place if funding is secured upfront.
• Culinary Training & Job Placement: Planning will re-engage to explore expansion into Osceola County in partnership with Valencia.
• Health & Hunger: Expansion will happen in line with already secured funding.
• Social Entrepreneurship:
•  We will continue Catering For Good, Contracted Meals and Spoonful Of Hope.
• Advocacy: Our emphasis on advocacy and government relations will continue.
• Federal nutrition programs are vital to our mission
• State funding on a more regular basis will be sought
• County and city relationships deepen our value and reputation as a leader
• Key strategic initiatives: Further development in these four areas:
• Coalition Building
• Community Awareness
• Neighbor Voice
• Measurement System
