Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida is built on a foundation of respect, collaboration, and diversity, among other core values.
As an organization dedicated to providing greater access to nutrition, health, and dignity for our community’s most vulnerable citizens, Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida joins countless other Americans in condemning and rejecting all forms of violence, hate, racism, bias and bigotry against Asian Americans and against any group or individual.
According to “Stop Asian American/Pacific Islander Hate,” more than 3,800 incidents of hate crimes against Asian Americans have been reported in the United States alone since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. These actions are not acceptable under any circumstances, and we stand beside and celebrate the value and dignity of all our Asian American neighbors.
We at Second Harvest Food Bank will continue to listen, learn, educate, and advocate as we work to love more, hate less, and create hope.
Thank you for your support.
