  • Trauma Informed Training Within our communities and places of work, trauma and toxic stress can sometimes dominate professional and personal lifestyles. Join us in understanding how trauma can impact behavior and learn different paths of recognizing and responding to it moving forward.
  • Ask HR Join a panel discussion with Second Harvests Human Resource Experts
  • Culturally Appropriate Foods This session will be an interactive opportunity for the facilitator to engage with food pantry volunteers and staff on topics around increasing access to culturally appropriate foods for our neighbors here in Central Florida. This workshop has been developed so that you can share your experiences, knowledge and beliefs about addressing culturally appropriate food needs of your neighbors and will include discussion about challenges to addressing this need, cultural competency, implicit bias, and pantry nutrition guidelines/policies. Please come to this session prepared to speak and share. Second Harvest Food Bank will use your feedback as it develops a strategy to better meet our neighbors food needs and preferences.
  • Feeding the Future with School Partnerships The Second Harvest School Partnerships Program promotes a community-centered, stigma-free approach to increasing food access among students experiencing hunger. In collaboration with community organizations and school leadership, our model emphasizes student engagement in school-based market operations. Since its inception in 2017, the Second Harvest School Partnerships Program has served over one million meals to students and their families across 65 partner sites in six counties throughout Central Florida. Join us to learn more about opportunities to invest in students in your community!
  • Why does Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Matters There are many compelling reasons to encourage diversity and inclusion in your agency. This session will explore the many benefits of establishing a diversity program and the internal barriers we may unconsciously be bringing to the table.
  • Combating Compassion Fatigue and Burnout in times of Crisis Those who care for their community must also care for themselves. Learn new methods to prevent compassion fatigue and burnout during this stressful time while caring for our community.
  • The Importance of SNAP in times of Economic Decline Learning the ins-and-outs of the SNAP program and more!
