The financial stress of providing breakfast and lunch for growing kids while schools are closed for the summer can mean gut-wrenching decisions for local families. The COVID-19 pandemic has only increased the burdens facing families who were living paycheck to paycheck.
Thanks to your support, families with kids 18 and under can turn to Second Harvest’s 65 Summer Food Service sites for free nutritious meals all summer long. Some locations provide a hot meal Monday through Friday. Others distribute a box for families to take home with enough breakfasts and lunches for an entire week.
In addition, families can access the food they need to feed their families at local food pantries or mobile food distributions all summer long.
With your help, Central Florida families will have food on the table and hope-filled summer.
