"You are a blessing," said Annette as she pulled into a drive thru food pantry pick up line.
Annette is a single mom in a multi-generational household. Her parents moved in recently to help her raise three kids. Until her full-time hours kick in at work, she's juggling higher bills, gas prices and the cost of food.
"When I went to the grocery store, I could only fill one bag with food before running out of money. That food won't last us very long," Annette explained.
At the food pantry in Brevard County, volunteers loaded Annette's trunk with groceries, including chicken, canned soups, beans and fresh produce like cabbage, apples, potatoes and watermelon.
"You give me the peace of mind to be able to go home and feed my family today and for days to come," explained Annette. "This gives me hope. Thank you.".
