Second Harvest Food Bank presents: Chef's Night

Chef's Night at Second Harvest Food Bank What is Chef's Night? Chef's Night is an evening at the food bank featuring some of Central Florida's best chefs and cuisine, all to benefit our Darden Foundation Community Kitchen's Culinary Training Program.

Our Culinary Training Program provides qualified, at-risk and economically disadvantaged adults with the culinary and life skills training needed to pursue a sustainable career in the food industry.

When you support Chef's Night, you are helping to change lives, and help pull your neighbors in need out of poverty. We invite you to join us for this special night, and look forward to seeing you there.

Chef Jim ColbertDate: October 18, 2017 6-9pm at Second Harvest Food Bank- 411 Mercy Drive, Orlando, Florida 32805.

Jim Colbert is local talk show veteran on Real Radio 104.1 with an unquenchable love and passion for cooking.  In 2015, Jim started PrimeTime Kitchen, a one hour radio show dedicated to living, loving and learning about all things delicious.

For Chefs Night at Second Harvest, Colbert has rounded up notable friends to accompany him in the kitchen – Chef Tello Luna of Harry's Poolside Bar & Grill, Rosen Centre Hotel, Chef Bryan Thoman of Canvas and Chef Bruno Fonseca of Millenia 106 -- for  an eclectic evening of food and fun.

Menu

Hors d’oeuvres: Chef Tello Luna (Rosen Resorts)
Mexican Shrimp Cocktail: Poached Shrimp, spiced tomato juice, cilantro, onion, jalapeño.   Smoked Salmon Cucumber Cup: Atlantic Salmon, Cream Cheese, Lemon Juice, Micro's

Appetizer: Chef Bryan Thoman (Canvas at lake Nona)
Wagyu Beef Cheek Tamale with Kombuca Squash Puree and Mole Negro

First:  Chef Bruno Fonseca (Millenia 106)
Mahi Crudo, Mahi cured in Coconut Milk, Carrot Ginger Sauce, Cashews,  carrot and pickled mushroom salad.

Entree:  Jim Colbert (PrimeTime Kitchen)
Braised Short Rib, Smoked Gouda Risotto with garden peas and asparagus tips, honey crisp carrots

Dessert: Chef Tello Luna (Rosen Resorts)
Chocolate Torte with Pecan Ice Cream and Orange Vanilla Sauce
